Vietnam |
Vietnam, after many years of conflict, is now a
peaceful settled country which has become one of the
fastest growing tourism destinations in the world. Vietnams
coastline is 3,260 km long with many beautiful
beaches such as Ha Tien and many tropical islands
such as Phu Quoc. One of the most majestic places in
the world must be Halong Bay - now a World Heritage
Site. For the tourist,
Vietnam
offers a fine blend of scenic beauty, fauna and
flora, culture, tropical islands & beaches, marine
parks and a wide collection adventure activities and modern accommodation.
A visit to Vietnam would not be complete without
experiencing the rich history and culture at Hue and
the nearby beaches. The country has a good network
of rail and air routes making it easy to get around.
One can visit the South all year round. The
Northern region is at its best during the months between April and
September.

Halong Bay & Hue
Situated
in the North-East region of Vietnam,
Halong Bay is
made up of 1,969 islands.
While
exploring the bay, you feel lost in a mystic and
legendary world of magnificent islands. At the core
of the islands there are wonderful caves and
grottos. There is no development on any of the
islands so the only way to experience one of natures
most beautiful jewels is to stay onboard a boat. The
average size of the super luxury boats that operate
in the regions is 20 cabins. They are all en suite
and feature excellent cuisine and a host of
activities such as snorkeling, fishing and
water-sports. A two night stay is recommended. Best months to visit are
Feb to Aug.
Hue is one of the most popular
destinations for visitors to Vietnam. Straddling the
Perfume River, this mysterious, somber city is a
historian's dream come true, with numerous 19th
century ruins, royal tombs and an excellent museum.
The Vietnamese regard Hue as the pinnacle of
Vietnamese fashion, language and cuisine. Hue is a a
short drive away from some excellent unspoilt
and uncrowded beaches. Best months to visit are
May to August.
Phu Quoc Island
Phu Quoc Island is also known as the Emerald Isle.
It is situated just off Cambodia on the west coast
of Vietnam. Powdery white sand beaches, palm trees,
crystal clear water and a laid back holiday vibe are
attracting an ever increasing number of visitors.
The main activity on the island is fishing so expect
to dine out on the freshest of seafood.
Accommodation ranges from the best in 5* resorts to
simple beach bungalows. Besides catching some sun
rays one can go diving, fishing, kyaking, snorkeling
and shopping at the market.
Phu Quoc is still a well kept secret and the crowds
have not started arriving in huge numbers. Make sure
you pay the island a visit but do not wait too long.

rainy season is from May - September and the rest of
the year is dry and warm (27c) Best months to
visit are October - March. There are 5 flights
